The association carries the name “German-Afghan Union of Students and Academicians".The union’s official address is App 322, Laerholzstraße 17-19, 44801 Bochum, Germany.
§2 Fiscal year
Our fiscal year is the calendar year.
§3 Purpose of the Union
The union exclusively pursues charitable and humanitarian activities within the tax-privileged purpose of the tax code. The Union is independent and not bound to any political or religious groupings. All activities of the union are free from any political, ethnic, social or religious affiliation.
The union aims at promoting international understanding between cultures with its focus on tolerance and impartation of knowledge and information. The Union aims to contribute to the development assistance in Afghanistan particularly by sponsorships, donations, and fundraising.
The purpose of the union is realized in particular by:

the promotion of German-Afghan friendship

promoting the cultural aspects of Afghanistan to build a network among Afghan residents in Germany and to inform other citizens

the promotion of cooperation between the Ruhr-University and Universities in Afghanistan

the promotion of cooperation with other unions / educational organizations with similar objectives
§4 Philanthropic activity
The Union is literally a non-profit organization and does not follow any commercial interests.
§5 Uses of funds
Funds of the Union may only be used for the purposes listed in the articles of the association. The members do not receive any payments for their engagement.
§6 prohibition of benefits
No person or organization should be given any sort of financial support if their objectives are not harmonious with unions main purposes.
§7 Acquisition of membership
Every natural person or legal entities can become a member who supports the goals of the Union
§8 Termination of membership
Membership ends by resignation, death or expulsion from the Union.
§9 contributions
Student members pay a monthly contribution of 3€ and for others 5€ per month. The amount of the contributions and their due dates determines the general meeting.
§10 Bodies of the Union
The bodies of the union consist general meeting and the executive board.
§11 Extraordinary General Assembly
The general meeting consists of the 1st and 2nd chairman together with other members and main representative of the union. A general assembly is the supreme organ of the union.
She is responsible for:

Approval of the annual report of the board

Abandonment of the board

Resolution on the articles of association and amendments

Election of the board and the auditors

Matters submitted to the Board

Resolution on the dissolution of the Union

Resolutions of the general meeting are passed by simple majority.
§ 12 Board
The board consists of the 1st and 2nd chairman, the cashier, a secretary and a contact person for public relation.

Board members can only become members of the union

The association is represented in court by the chairperson or the second chairperson together with another executive member of board.

The board is elected by the general assembly

Resolutions of the board of directors are passed by a simple majority, written minutes are made of these.

The board remains in office until a new board is elected.

Upon termination of membership in the union also ends the office as a board.
§ 13 cash audit
The general assembly elects a cash auditor for a period of one year
§14 Dissolution of the union
In case of dissolution or abolition of the Union or the abolition of tax-privileged purposes, the assets of the Union will go to the union Kinderhilfe Afghanistan, registered office: In Anger 25.93098 Mintraching, which must be used exclusively for charitable purposes.
